I visited a Halloween store today - just wanted to look at this year's costumes. Saw a battery-operated Harry Potter Magic Wand (TM) - it looks like something that Snape would enjoy while thinking of Harry (*mind totally in gutter*), but to my defense, the battery-operated thing is too big (and thick!^^) to be the size of a wand that "fits comfortably into the palm" of the hand. Apparently it lights up, b/c if it vibrated, that would be TOO MUCH INFORMATION!
Also saw a Gryffindor tie (like from the OoTP movie), a Snitch (with crappy plastic wings on it as well as a 3 and over warning label), Harry Potter glasses.
But I saw something much more fascinating. Something I nearly didn't say no to.
It was a plastic cauldron. (Like the ones people put outside when they decorate their homes for Halloween). It was a black, Halloween, witch's cauldron.
And all I could think about was Snape Potions-making.
The two sizes were 16in. and 8in. and the smaller one cost $2.99 and I almost bought it. (Until I reminded myself that I'd have nowhere to put it, nowhere to use it as I am twice the age of a Hogwarts first-year, and my Hogwarts invitation letter is ten-something years too late).
Besides, I don't need a cauldron. :3 Hot, strong, [Snarry] love tends to melt through the plastic anyways, and that's the only kind of love I want! |
